The domain xandercomic.com was down this morning, so I spent my time fixing that rather than getting a guestbook working. I'll have some way for people to sign up to receive an alert when the book version is ready / when the next comic begins later today or tomorrow. Sorry to those of you that tried to read the comic today and weren't able to; I really wish I could get the domain transferred from my old registrar.
The reason we're doing notifications is that there will be a significant lapse of time between today, the end of Xander, and the next comic or this comic's printing. Probably several months. I will try to put out some updates here and on twitter, so you can check either if you want to know what stage we're at with both projects.
Ian and I both wanted to thank you all for coming along with us on this adventure! We've thoroughly enjoyed making this story, much more so because we had such a great group of people sharing it with us. We both hope that some of you will stick around for the next comic, and are reassured that several readers are expressing enthusiasm for it. It should be bigger and more dramatic than Xander.
That reminds me, I have to announce the genre of the next comic, as voted by all of you! Only a fraction of our regulars voted, but it was enough to tell us by a wide margin (156:61) that we're making a science fiction comic, with occasional but important decisions left to you the readers. I haven't decided if it will be in full color yet, and it will certainly be in a different style. Perhaps we'll post some teaser concept art here as the project matures towards readiness for serialization.
Thanks again, for coming with us on this journey! I consider all of you as friends.
TaylorEpilogue, page 42012-08-07One more page to go. I will be posting somewhere here a form to leave behind your email if you want to buy the book version, with the last update this Friday. Thanks to those of you who've voted for the next comic - I'll tabulate results for Friday as well.
